This place is all about me (Ian) and my weird view on life. On the site you will find poetry, prose, fragments of stories, musings, societal observations and the occasional … well, rant.

Some will like it, some will hate it … but most will never find it. Those that do wend their way here, will find all of life, including:

Ian holds views which he clings-to stubbornly despite having the spiritual wisdom, curiosity and experience to know better at his age.

These views revolve mainly around the human condition, justice/injustice, truth and the ageless love of a dog … and burritos; nothing -not even nibanna – can top a great burrito.

Zen Shed (Legacy Poetry)

Some of the haiku content published here originates from an old Yahoo!Clubs forum The Zen Shed, to which I belonged … oh twenty-odd years ago, when the internet was young and unicorns roamed Chorley.

The Zen Shed was important to me for many reasons. I am grateful to the sangha there, wherever they now are, and wish them well; specifically the core group I recall as being Dogen, Bas, Ken, Kansiketu, ApplesFromAvalon and more (including myself under the pseudonym Degasian —don’t judge, huh).

It would be nice to get back in touch if any of them are passing this way; who knows.
